Well it has been quite the couple of weeks. Being off work for the third summer in a row is once again trying my patience but as always the Lord proves I will and can survive. lol. So the last few weeks have been full of FUN...
Two weeks ago we went to a Tucson Padres Game, that was a blast.... OF HEAT!!!! We went with Aubrey, Ryan, and the Kido. At least he had fun, running, playing with his new friends, and climbing all over the rocks... all while we tried to stay cool and watch the incredibly slow game. One up side, I got to take my new camera, Hooray!!! If you don't know Sean lost mine on our trip up Havasupai Falls... He is a little dare devil but his stunt went wrong and my camera was lost. (Sad days) Alas here are pictures from the game.
My husband does not like people pictures.
But I got a good one!!! hahahaha
Owen with his new friends... kids a funny... why where they walking like this? Who knows!
Look! I'm King of the World :)
Sean may not like pictures but Ryan does not like being cooled off... "Do not spray me!!"
All Better!
It was a lot of fun, but we did not stay till the end.
Since the game time has been flying, We spent the 4th with Sean's family in Sierra Vista (no they did not burn up in the fire). It was a ton of fun playing with the kids all weekend. Ferrah is ready to burst, she is due any day now.... come little girl, come! (well okay come when you are ready). We spent all day Saturday building a chicken coop for Sean's Dad. Said to say I don't have any pictures of that... three little boys, three men, and a Nicole on a task like that... someone should have been taking pictures.
After the Fourth we came home to another week of Sean working and me doing house things and homework. Hooray we now have bedding and curtains, a new table arrangement and things are coming together nice. Wednesday was Sean,s Birthday, Happy 26th Love! Wow you are old! hahahahah (wink wink!) Sean's parents took us out to dinner at the Cheese Cake Factory in order to celebrate. I do have pictures from that!
Everybody say Cheese-cake!!!!
Make a wish Sean!
Cute hand writing.... impressive, with chocolate too! Wow!
Then on Thursday I of course had to make Sean a Yummy meal for his special day as well... It turned out great. Steaks, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes, garlic bread, a salad, raspberry lemonade, and mango gelato... and every last bit of it was homemade and made from scratch! I'm getting good a cooking with all my free time! lol.
No pictures of dinner but this was the gelato.... Delicious... or so Sean said, I couldn't even smell it without wanting to gag.... yuck! But the strawberries were fantastic!
Happy Birthday Sean!!!!
I love you!
Then this morning Sean thought it would be grand to hike up to Seven Falls. With all the rain we have had I have to agree I wanted to go check it out. (I've never been) And guess what... I've still never been, we didn't make it. He woke me up at 4, lucky for me he fell back to sleep as did I until 5. We grabbed our Camelpaks and were on our way. We got to the trail head and started off in the direction we found on the map... about a mile and a half to two miles in Sean makes the comment, I don't remember it being this steep... well next person we passed I asked... Of course we are on the WRONG trail! Just our luck! Well what to do? Sean says keep going. I say go back. Sean won when he called me a stick in the mud and seriously almost had me crying... I was tired, out of breath, and he was being mean :( not fun!!!!
But Alas we walked on... we changed trails and ended up finishing off the last 2 or 3 miles of the Sabino Canyon Trail. Not a pretty as the Seven Falls would have been but the 8 to 10 mile hike we took this morning all before 9 made my day feel complete.... Then it was home to shower and take a nap... I was exhausted!
I managed to find my smile and good attitude about the same time Sean thought he would try being nice again.... hahaha... it really wasn't all that bad. This is us at the top of the trail... Just another 4 miles back down... no big deal right!
It's proving to be a great summer.
