How fast time flies...

One Year!
That is right, it has already been one wonderful year. 366 days ago (it's leap year) I married the man of my dreams and to this day I could not be happier! Who knew being married could be so fun...
Thank you to everyone who has loved us and helped us start our new path in life. The adventures really have been endless. Here is to one year!

That was then....

This is now.....

Happy 1st Anniversary to us ;)
 I love you Sean Varga!
May we never walk this road alone!
If you live to be 100, I hope I live to be 100 minus 1 day, so I never have to live without you!

It's a babies shower for Aubrey and "The Little Brothers Burklund"

So once upon a time Aubrey told us she was having twins.... well they are coming right around the corner so this last weekend we had a little shower to celebrate their coming. Can I just tell you how excited we are getting for these boys to come. Totally excited!!! (It might show just a little bit)

These are the signs I made one for on the table for decoration and one to go with the party favor cookies made by another lady in our ward.

Candied Bacon...yum! With oh so cute Twins-in-a-blanket...

You might not love it but I do... Just in case you cannot read it the caption says, "If you think I'm cute you should see my aunt." hahaha
However on a not so selfish note the other outfits I bought say, "little brother" on two brown rompers with another shirt for Owen that says "big brother". (I didn't get a good picture of those)

My mother-in-law made these cute motor bike "diaper cakes" for me to display while incorporating parts of her gifts as well. (Thank you!)

Thee party was a blast and the pictures tell a lot so there is not too much more to be said because I feel they speak for themselves.

Congrats again Aubrey!
We'll see you soon Little Brothers Burklund ;)

Saturday Fun

So this last Saturday Sean had to work and I was busy with errands and homework but when I got home Sean was done with work. (I'd like to say he was done early but as he shouldn't be working Saturdays it wasn't early it just wasn't as late as it could have been) So he took me on a surprise date. We went to a late lunch at Panda, which is our favorite to share :) Yumm! Sean wouldn't tell me what else we were doing so it was really funny when we got these two fortunes...

Sean's

Nicole's

We have never had messages relate so close to the situation... to funny!

Too bad Sean's did not work. I blame the fact that he didn't eat the cookie before reading the message. Because after a good laugh and yummy food he had to tell me where we were going as he didn't know how to get there :)

Zoo Anyone?!?

And all the animals were out because it was such a beautiful day! Good thing Sean had me bring the camera.

Check out the face of the girl in the lower left corner... That totally how I felt that the animals were up so close and moving around.

The new cubs were so cute and playful

This bird really wanted to eat Sean!

 Tired anyone?

 Fun day, Fun date!

The "coldest" Christmas ever had!

Yes its late but it's only February at least I'm getting to it...
One really should not complain about getting two weeks off around Christmas especially when it has been so many years since I actually had any time off at the Holidays. So I will refrain as much as I can and just tell you the only bad parts would be the horrible colds Sean and I both received, a really sore butt, and the rather cold hands and feet acquired from a pretty fun snowmobiling trip through Yellow Stone. I was a year for cold!

We started off with a Pre-Christmas Christmas with the Kaiser side of the Family. The Wednesday and Thursday prior to Christmas Mom, Dad, and Matthew all came up and spent the night. Mom and I attempted to do some baking but ran into quite a few snags, including three different trips to the store by three different people to get quick oats all resulting in old-fashioned oats piling up in the kitchen. hahaha. We finally just had to give in to the fact of defeat. The whole ordeal, cooking dinner, baking, the guys doing projects on the house and opening gifts early was a blast! Love Family! -Sorry no pictures-

Then Friday night Sean and I headed down to Sierra Vista for some fun filled Varga time. We may not have done much other than eat up Christmas goodies and play with the kiddos but it was a lot of laughs and good times. On Christmas Eve we went around a couple of the blocks to see Christmas lights. It was a fun way to spend the time but even being out late the boys did not sleep in. Waking up to see all the gifts and holding back with all their might until after breakfast to open gifts must have been killer, but they did great! What a fun way to spend Christmas, they get so excited to open gifts they don't care who the belong to or whats inside really. We enjoyed the time with family but we sure did miss the extra fun it would have been with Ryan, Katie and Cody. Hopefully next year!

After the familt fun Sean and I took a little trip on our own and ran away from the worries of the world for a week. We planned things rather last minute but it was so super fun to just drive up to CO and WY to play in the snow and have some us time. We went to the cold country and Sean took me snow boarding for the first time. (P.S. I have NEVER been in snow more than a few inches, and Sean took me on a BLUE for my first time... for those that don't know that means it was not the bunny slopes, it wasn't even the easy slopes... eek)
It was lots of fun. After that we headed to Yellowstone and just took our time traveling around. We did a snowmobiling trip in to Old Faithful and I will just say that it was beautiful but the snow/road condition signs said, " Snowmobiling Conditions: POOR!!!" No joke people were flipping and crashing and getting stuck like no ones business, the guide said it was the worst he had ever been in. (and he's been there 9 years!) Still so fun! We also stopped in Steamboat Springs and stayed at The Rabbit Ears Motel, so funny, and spent a bit of time on freezing December weather in the local hot springs spa. Crazy Fun.

Here are some pictures to document, and no we did not get one of me on the slopes. What were we thinking?

Snowboarding! Well after snowboarding :)

Getting ready for Yellow Stone... snow on the Mobile... Not a good sign but the sky was clear and bright!

 So Beautiful!

Last time I was at this spot was shortly after the fires... it was black and smelled burnt still. What fun to see the new growth and the fresh snow cover it was like a movie scene.

Not good when the guide almost runs into a sign. See how far he sunk in. Note: Snowmobiles are NOT I repeat NOT meant to go on fresh powder, especially not two feet of fresh power. Apparently they are made for packed snow because they are heavy in the back and they grip to the ice-snow. So don't go with new snow it is really dangerous, not kidding people were injured! Scary)

Blow Old Faithful, blow! Way fun as it started to snow as we were standing there. Highlight of my trip as I love when it rains or snows on me :)

Note how deep I went in... Yeah there was a hole there! oops! haha... I slipped just as the guy took the photo. Nice!

See the change in weather? It was not sunny all the sudden and we had to race the storm back as it was only getting worse. All day the high was 7 degrees...burrrr... I get chills still thinking about it.

Alas, here is proof that we survived and had fun... still all smiles back at the resort.

That night was New Years Eve so we walked around Jackson Hole, saw their light and fireworks display on the ski slopes and had to stop for the traditional picture under the horns.

On the drive home we came down by way of Idaho so I could see the Temple. I'd never seen this one and it was beautiful! Especially in the snow and with ice on the falls.

What an adventure we had!
