....SOON IS A RELATIVE TERM....

Well It's official, Kendle fixed my layout so now I have to (cough... get to...cough cough) start blogging again! Yay!!!


But also I have a funny story...

So Monday at work I was kind of having a bad day, we wont go into details as to why that is, however facts being facts I just had a lot on my mind!
So Mondays are almost always busy and it's just a fact, So this week I was in the Psych zone, for anyone reading this if you don't know what that means, you don't hang around me very often so you will have to just figure it out, lol.
Anyways, I had five patients and had been busy keeping everyone calm and medicated and such when I hear this commotion in the triage area and of course know that I will be getting a new patient shortly. Anyhow.... Long story short the guy was having a real mental break, like totally off his rocker, they put him in a hall bed right behind my desk because couldn't be left unsupervised, which meant I had to hear him rambling, he was actually really funny and oh so smart, he was talking about space and chemical compounds of the planets and beings from other worlds and God and a whole lot of different things... well one of the techs was watching him while I went and got meds for another crazy down the hall, when I hear yelling and screaming and such, I walk out of the med room to find the security guys and the charge nurse and about 7 other people gathered around my little friend, who had lost it when someone walked by in green (Cami-looking) scrubs, well he was yelling and cussing and raising a fuss about the US and the president and the wars and people in uniform and just going on and on about junk, so I walk up to him and the charge nurse is like, "Oh, this is Nicole's patient???" and he walks away as I get pretty close to the patient the security guy is trying to pull me back, but I just turn to the patient and continue to talk him back to reality...
when he finally calmed down the charge nurse came back by and was like, "I don't know how you do that but it really works for you." I guess people don't know the power of a listening ear and a few calm words. lol
So hears the funny part, later on the guy is rambling again when he starts on this kick about this guy that was asking him all these questions, I believe it might have been one of our registration guys or maybe the doctor I'm not sure which, but the patient is saying things like' "he was so rude." "He just asked a million questions and didn't give me time to think." and so on. Then the patient stops and looks at me as if he just remembered I was there and he says, and I quote, "...and then I was like, huh, maybe he's not rude, maybe he's just quick!... haha... yeah, maybe, maybe he's not rude he's just quick... hahahhahaha.... That's what she said!.... hahahah.... I'm not rude, I'm just quick!....." And I was like oh my gosh this man just said, "that's what she said" lol. I had to leave the hall I was laughing so hard....

yep, that was the end of my long horrible day! hahahah... I love the crazies!!!!!
