Interesting night at work...

So I had two very interesting experiences at work last night the first happened when we had a patient come in by ambulance who was on a spinal board and neck brace because he had fallen while in the shower. He was not my patient but the doctor called me in to help turn him to remove the board while keeping the neck and back stable, we did all that and as I turned him back over I recognized the man, and did a double take on his wife. Sure enough he is the Sunday school teacher in my family ward, here in Tucson! A very loud boisterous man that I absolutely love... Well after a CT we found out he broke his neck, vertebrae C-5 through T-1, he actually completely inverted all 4 vertebrae. He also has a spinal/cranial hematoma (bleeding on the spine and brain) from the impact! He was rushed to surgery (which will take 6 hours) I hope he is all right! Pray for him please! It was very interesting to have someone there is such serious shape someone I knew, someone I could call my Bishop at 3 in the morning for a blessing for! And yet there he was still talking and laughing but unable to move! I was amazed by the peace and calm even I had after he got the blessing! Really I love the gospel!
Okay so my second story is the really winner for the night... we had this girl come in that was miscarrying, she didn't know how far along she was and to put it nicely she looked like she has used drugs a time or two. Well after being there for a while she said she had to go to the bathroom, sure enough she passed the entire fetus! Okay so I have never seen the product of a miscarriage at any point of viable time during a pregnancy most are very early on and several pass the fetus at home, but this girl was at least 18-20 weeks along, or 4-5 months, and the fetus came out fully intact! Like placenta, umbilical cord, the works. It was the most amazing thing I have ever seen, The sac was still intact and it was just floating in the fluid, you could see each little finger and each little toe. You could see its eyes, you could see it was female, you could see its ears and eyes, it was this tinny tiny thing but so intricate, you could see the one vein and two arteries inside the umbilical cord wow! Really it was a wow experience... it was truly amazing only God could make something so beautiful!
I wanted to take a picture (how wrong is that!), but that would be breaking so many laws and so many ethical views so this one I found on line will have to do! It is actually very accurate to what I saw!
